Each pane (a feather) is a shell, SSH session, file view, or an agent CLI like Claude Code, Codex, or OpenCode. Why Strix

Add a node once, then launch many feathers on it. Your desktop app remains the quiet controller while your local node, Mac mini, and Ubuntu workers keep terminals and modern agent CLIs alive.

Pair the local macOS node, a Mac mini, an Ubuntu box, or another worker with strixd. No inbound firewall rules or private tunnel service to maintain.

Launch agent feathers

Run Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, and other agent CLIs, plus SSH and shell processes, on the machine where the work should happen.

Let them run 24/7

The node daemon owns the PTYs. Closing Strix detaches the app; local and remote terminal agents keep working while their node stays alive.

Reconnect privately

The app talks to each node through an encrypted app-to-node channel. The relay routes ciphertext and does not hold session keys. The control plane never sees project names, paths, or terminal data.
